Empowering Ambulance Drivers with Life-Saving Skills!

GTA Foundation successfully conducted Basic Life Support (BLS) training for ambulance drivers across four districts of Nepal: Gorkha, Rautahat, Parsa, and Sarlahi.

The training focused on strengthening the knowledge and practical skills of ambulance drivers in providing immediate care during emergencies. Through hands-on and simulation-based sessions, participants practiced essential life-saving skills, including high-quality CPR, AED use, choking management, and emergency response.

Ambulance drivers are often among the first responders to reach individuals experiencing medical emergencies. Equipping them with essential BLS skills can play a crucial role in providing timely and effective care and ultimately improving patient outcomes.

The training was conducted under the research project “Effectiveness of Cascade Basic Life Support (BLS) Training for Ambulance Drivers in Nepal: A Cluster Randomized Controlled Trial.”

Together, we are taking a step towards strengthening emergency response capacity and building a safer, more prepared community.
